At the beginning of June, we drive our herd of Hérens cows to the Chavannes pasture; it is a special moment for us, that announces the start of summer. 70 heifers come to join them up until the St. Michel (beginning of October). In this way, the areas used for skiing in winter are maintained naturally during the summer.
